Thank you for visiting the Boyle County Fish and Game Club FAQ page.  We hope that this answers many of the questions we receive from our members, guests, and prospective members.  If your question remains unanswered after viewing this page, please feel free to post your question on our Facebook timeline and you will receive a response from an officer, board member, or fellow club member.

Q:  What is the price for a club membership?

A:  The cost for a club membership is $100 per year and memberships run from January 1 through December 31. There are no pro-rated membership rates for those seeking to join the club later in the year, for limited purposes, or any other reason.  

Q:  Where may I purchase a membership?

A:  Memberships are available at Curtsinger's Sunrise Outfitters (1389 Old Stanford Road, Danville, KY 40422), Nicholasville Reloading Supply, at the residence at the club's gated entrance, or through an officer/board member.

 

Q:  What is included with the annual membership?

A:  Your annual membership affords the member access to ranges (gun and archery), access to the monthly club meetings, the ability to bring your spouse and any minor child living within your residence, an opportunity to bring a one-time guest to introduce them to our club (see guest FAQ). 

 

Q:  May I bring a guest?

A:  Yes!  Many of our members joined our club after a wonderful experience with a friend or family member.  Each member may bring one guest when they visit the club.  Should that guest wish to return, we respectfully request that they purchase a club membership.  If a member would like to bring another guest at another time, the same applies.  

Q:  I only need to sight in my gun, try out a new gun, need to come a couple times, want a day pass, etc., do I need an annual membership?

A:  Yes.

Q:  Does the club have events?

A:  Yes!  Our club hosts multiple events throughout the year including, but not limited to, balloon shoots, UBR shoots, archery shoots, hunter's ed classes, survival courses, Stop the Bleed class, and more!

 

Q:  What ranges are available at the club?

A:  We currently have an archery range, a pistol range (25 yd), and a general purpose range (300yds). 

Q:  Is hunting permitted at the club?

A:  No.

Q:  May I fish at the lake at the club?

A:  Lake Chumley belongs to the Kentucky Department of Fish and Wildlife, is under statewide regulations and may be fished with a valid fishing license during daylight hours.

Q:  What are the hours of operation?

A:  No shooting prior to sunrise or after sunset - daylight hours, only.

Q:  How will I know about range closures?

A:  Range closures will be posted on our Facebook page as well as our webpage.
